About Children of the Greenbelt
The Children of the Greenbelt represents the young population that stands to inherit the 1.8 million acres of Ontario's Greenbelt -- Protected Countryside, Natural Heritage Areas, wetlands, lakes, rivers, forests and farmland --that the McGuinty Government created for the next generation in 2004 and which they stand ready to steward, defend, and grow.

"Stop
behaving as if there is no next generation."
- comment made to politicians by Peter Sibbald Brown, Director and Environmental Justice Chair, The Lakewatch Society (Canada)
Like an egg, the earth is strong and fragile at
the same time.
